Considering how little time I actually spend watching T.V. I suppose the purchase of a JVC AV-24WT2EK was an extravagance. ( Even though I wangled a hefty discount, due to spotting some minor damage to the outer casing). Nor am I entirely sure, I will ever get used, to having something that would be right at home on the bridge of Captain Kirk’s Enterprise, standing in the corner of my living room. However that said. I must admit to being very pleased with the AV-24WT2EK. Which is currently hooked up to a Sharp PC651 Mini Component System (another op in the making) and a Sharp 4 head/Nicam/Stereo VCR. The AV-24WT2EK is JVC’s cheapest widescreen TV, a 24inch model that sports a stylish slate grey finish. Its headline facility is Spatial Sound, one of JVC’s versions of pseudo surround. It works better at filling the room with sound using just the speakers built into the set than some of its more sophisticated rival systems. Picture quality is good and the set boasts a strong selection of image tweaks.
