We bought our Matsui in the sale - I got bored with having to look in Dixon's every weekend and relented to let my Husband get a wide screen telly. I really like the Matsui. The picture quality and sound (stereo) are good. We got a lot of inches for our money and there is a range of settings so we can watch widescreen films in widescreen, P&S in normal telly and also customise the settings so that pictures fit the screen exactly without getting distorted. The only problem is that it can only be opperated by the remote control. This means that the front is nice and neat with only the on/off button, but it is a real pain when you want to turn the telly on and you can't find the remote! Frantic minutes spent turning the lounge upsidedown for the remote while the programme you wanted to watch ticks by! On the whole, it's a great telly, just the problem with the remote! Matsui is apparently a trade name for some of Grundig's products.
