I chose to buy this TV when I stood beside it and realised it had a pure flat screen. This means there is no picture distortion and less reflection. The picture quality is down to the fact that it has 100HZ technology, whereas normal TVs normally run at 50HZ. This means this TV scans the picture twice as many times per second, eliminating flicker, and increasing colour definition. I use this TV to run my PlayStation2 mainly, and watch DVDs, and the picture quality is fantatstic especially with the wider viewing angle provided by the flat wide screen. Another benefit of the TV is the several screen ratios it offers. It can automatically detect a widescreen signal, but through the remote control you can select the picture format to be 4:3, 4:9, 16:9 or Zoom. This can therefore eleminate the "Letterbox" effect when watching TV through black borders. Other options include a sound improvement called "ambience" which provides a fuller sound. Artificial Intelligence which automatically adjusts the picture due to light conditions. All options can be selected through on screen menus. The speakers provide a good full sound, but if you want the best from the TV, I would suggest purchasing a separate speaker kit. All in all a fantastic TV, with a great silver finish, but somehow the picture doesn't look so great when you realise you've payed nearly a grand for it.
