Advantages: Your short sighted granny will be able to see the TV at christmas !

Disadvantages: Finding enough space to put it .

This TV is excellent for those of you with that little bit extra to spend on their TV. It provides superb picture quality (obviously relying on reception) and sound and if you watch a fair bit a TV, which to be truthful the vast majority of people do these days, then it is well worth the investment.

Having myself stepped up from a 11 year old 14" Toshiba to this was a godsend. For a while your home feels like a mini cinema, however after a month or so the amazment does fad as you get normalised to its quality. Its got all the usual features you'd expect from today's televisions, after all it is the size and quality of the picture and sound that you are going to be paying for. Teletext is practically standard and all machines these days, so too the silver/grey body.

Unless your've got acres of room space this mean machine is going to take up a lot of space in your living room and if you've got other priorities its going to be your primary TV. Installation of the plugs and tuning is fairly straightforward, however make sure you've got enough room for all those leads as it adds an extra few inches width to the back of the TV.

Durability - well only time will tell - although going on Panasonics other products you've got a guarantee and there fairly reliable. Pricewise its neither a bargain or rip-off, but a bit of shopping around on the internet may save you £50-£100 or get you a free TV stand or DVD thrown in.

Depending on your income I would say for a medium term investment it is satisfactory (some people upgrade their TV every 2 or 3 years) and you'll be enjoying a better watch for some years to come. The only thing to look out for is the advent of flat-panel, high defenition monitors which are making a big impact on the market, oh... and the danger of becoming an even worse tele addict!

As below... would have been better to include some more details of connections and features / menus which are an aspect that differ between TVs.

Just as below, it is a good idea to include price.. people will want to know this near the start so they know if it is in their price range or not. D :)

It would be helpful to know how much this retails for. I am looking for a new TV. I'd like a 42" plasma but I don't know enough about 'em to make an informed decision. Panasonic is a make I would consider. This TV in your review sounds pretty good.
