Advantages: Good quality (for CRT), built-in video
Disadvantages: No built-in DVD, no freeview, quite large
The Philips 14PV334 is a pretty nice TV and was an essential piece of technology in my bedroom for many years.
The CRT screen is 14 inches in size, giving you a decent viewing area. Under the screen is a built-in video player and recorder. The recorder is of good quality (for a video), but not up to the better standard recently set by DVD and Blu Ray. The video is quick to respond too, recording what you're watching at the touch of a button (quite literally).
2 speakers are located either side of the video - you can just about make them out on the image above. These give decent sound quality, but obviously it's nowhere near as good as a surround sound system... although this is only really intended to be a bedroom TV.
The unit as a whole is quite large due to the CRT screen, and is also quite heavy so it's probably best not to move it too often, although it does have 2 neat carrying handles in the back of the unit.
Features include video plus and timer programming as well as a sleep timer and a wake up timer. There's no integrated Freeview as it wasn't even invented when this TV was first made!
A good TV 5 years ago, but technology has moved on so much that it's quite out of date now. If you want a CRT and video combi, then I'd highly recommend it... otherwise get a flat screen with integrated Freeview!
Summary: Great if you want a TV/DVD combi
