I had a phillips 15pt6807 crt tv that had a good picture when it was on until the colour tube started to go and the bottom left hand corner had a bright green and grey colour that got gradually worse. I could still see the tv when it was on but the bit in the corner was about 3 inches of the picture in the end.
I could watch it but the green bit took my concentration away from what was on and over to the spreading green splodge. Before that the picture on this tv was good and the reception was fine as well. I had the tv hooked up to an ariel to get a decent picture from it and that gave the best picture quality it could.
The screen on the tv was 15 inches and it had a built in dvd player. I think the dvd player being part of the unit made it more compact considering it was a crt style tv. It was bulky and heavy but less bulky than a tv and a dvd player would be. I think it was easier with only 1 unit to find space for and plug in.
The tv had a built in scart socket at the back plus rca and rf outputs also at the back and they were easy to locate and worked alright. The speakers on the tv were basic at 6 watts and you could set the balance of base and treble to get the best from them. I don't think they were great but they were fine for a small tv like this.
The colour was ok on the tv until the problem with the green bit in one corner and I put up with that for a long time. The tv still worked but was not ideal. Before that the colours were good and the picture could be changed to suit how I liked it to look.
The dvd player could play cd r, cd rw, dvd and dvd rw, etc. I think that the dvd player worked ok except it did have a bit of a squeak when the discs went in and out and that was a bit of a pain.
The tv had teletext as well but that has been downsized now and is not as good as it used to be. You need to plug into a main ariel to get a good teletext reception or you can't get it with this tv.
When the tv was working at its best it was a good little runner and it looked neat and well presented. The screen was ok, very flat and clear and the tv only went because the cost to fix it was almost as much as a new cheap flat screen tv. I think this is an easy to use tv and the remote worked fine with it.
