Advantages: Good price, many features
Disadvantages: None
This is the tv you will want to watch DVD movies on, well, anything, to be honest. Sharp picture, excellent sound and a big screen to watch it on. The Sony KV-27V66. It improves from it's previous model on the addition of SRS, a form of virtual surround sound, which simulates full surround sound with just two speakers. This set also offers a number of connectivity options, including front-panel A/V and S-video inputs, as well as a monitor output. The picture quality is superb. The KV-27V66's vertically flat screen minimizes picture distortion and glare. The digital comb filter boosts resolution, while the CRT Amplifier enhances contrast for improved definition. Sound abit technical but look at the monitor and squint your eyes, and then open them. It seems alot more clear and the KV-27V66 works in a similar concept. One feature is the Favorite Preview, which uses the dual-tuner the tv contains to present previews of up to five channels on smaller sub-windows. A handy feature is Freeze Memo. This basically captures any image from the main window and displays it on the smaller window, allowing you to jot down an item or phone number. Below is a quick summary for those thinking of buying it. 27-inch direct-view TV Trinitron Picture Tube CRT Amplifier Steady Sound Freeze Memo Favorite Preview Also, the price is great. You'll realise that some of the best buys are not from High St/electronis stores but from the net. I beleive that if Dixons were to sell this it would be no less than £600.00. You can buy this for $545.00
