Advantages: Keeps your bike dry
Disadvantages: Moisture can get trapped
In my house , I do not have a garage so when I got my new bike I decided to keep it protected by buying a cover. I came across this one in my Argos catalogue for just £7.99. Great price considering it protected my bike for years!
The idea of the bike cover is to keep your bike or motorbike or what ever else that may find its way underneath it , dry all year long! The bike cover lies on top of your bike and has special dents for the handle bars. There is elastic on the front and back to help it to stay on but I find that it is best to tie a piece of string from the seat , under the pedals and back up again. This makes sure the cover stays on. There is nothing more annoying than having to go outside in the pouring rain or snow to put the cover back on.
One of the problems with the cover is that is some how any moisture gets in , it cannot escape so the bike is constantly wet and this can really damage the bicycle. This can be avoided by having down ward air vents so that air can get out , but not water. Unfortunately this does not have that which is a shame.
Overall , a great cover especially if you do not have a garage. It can also be used in a garage or house to keep dust off. I would recommend this to anyone.
Summary: A Good Cover
