After wanting to get fit for a while, I decided to buy myself a brand new pedal bike and helmet to go with it. I decided to go with the Raleigh Helmet Missle because of the way it looked. I know it's stupid to base buying safety equipment on aesthetics, but there you go.
They come in various reflective colours I went for blue and silver. The helmet itself is molded in a way to fit most shapes and sizes of head. It is a little bit tight on my head but then again I do have quite an egg head.
If you get a sweaty head when cycling, like myself you will be pleased to know the helmet has it's only ventitation system and I counted a total of around 12 vents all together. While wearing the helmet it felt really cool and wasn't hot at all.
Weighing in at just 260g, it is a very light helmet. At some points in my day, I walked into shops forgetting I still had it on my head, that's how light it is. The buckle is supposed to be anti-pinch, but I found it pinched more than anti-pinched. An easy way to get around this problem is loosen the strap so you have more room and hopefully not pinch yourself.
Protection wise you get high density EPS or in other words expanded polystyrene foam that I found was solid enough to take most minor impacts if you have one.
With reflective graphic and LED lights incorporated in the dial as well as 12 vents and anti-pinch buckle.
