German Based company, and this firewall isn't bad. I haven't been able to setup security attacks on it, but A firewall is a firewall. It just stops incomming and outgoing data on a range of ports. However, I personally encourage people to use less well known firewalls, but good firewalls. A lot of viruii and worms tend to shut down the normally Macaffee and Norton virus scanners and firewalls as part of their infection process... So if you have a firewall that is less known chances are you will not have something like this happen to you. G Data also supports other securty enhancements. They have utilities for use with GPG (GnuPG which is open source of PGP) The interface isn't bad. AS with all interfaces, it could use improvement.
