Norton Personal Firewall is ideal for home users and all those who are not keen on spending days installing and setting up their firewall. It's out-of-the-box security for everyone.

The install routine is your ordinary click-through-windows program; but other than firewalls I have tried to use before, Norton did recognize most of my software automatically and set up the permissions accordingly, leaving me very little to do.

The extensive feature list leaves me with a confident sense of security; what I personally notice is the fact that I can use my laptop on several different networks with just a few mouse clicks. The profiles are a great advantage here.

Also, as is usual with most Norton products, the price of the software includes a year worth of updates preparing the program for new viruses, etc.

Summary: Flexible solution with special features for mobile users - well worth having!
