Norton is now a common name in internet security and a widely recognizable brand. The current edition of Norton 360 contains all of the required tools necessary to keep you computers data safe and help prevent any unwanted access to your computer.

Initially upon opening the software you are presented with an easy to understand screen displaying information about your computers security and performance status. It also presents many options to help improve them with appropriate traffic light colours which enables you to quickly understand and fix any issues that need to be addressed.

However, with having the Norton security system installed on your system you will see a noticeable slow down of the system as the program uses a lot of your computers resources which is one of my major complaints with this program.

However, having this software installed i have encountered no problems at all and find that the unobtrusive nature of it very appealing as you are not presented with security alerts as the software will sort it out by itself. The updates also happen very quickly and very regularly to help prevent any new threats from damaging your computer system.

The main advantage with Norton 360 compared to its existing internet security packages is the data vault that is built in to the product. The system will automatically give you the option to store all of your important files and folders on a secure online server meaning that they always will be safe whilst providing you the option to upgrade to more storage space for the more demanding user as you only get 2gb included in the price of the software.

Overall this provides an impressive suite of tools and options for protecting your computer and the data on it but there are more affordable products on the market which also do a good job and do not slow down your computer as much.

Summary: A good package for an internet user but will compromise on system speeds
