Advantages: Good on Vista

Disadvantages: Useless on Windows XP

We bought a Dell Inspiron running Vista, bundled with it was Norton 360 it runs well with no problem, loaded on to a second Dell also running Vista with no problem. The Mesh PC with Windows XP we have had the Norton licence expire and we decided to use the third 360 licence on it. Loaded fine, after rebooting the system crashed, uninstalled Norton 360 and system ran beautifully again, reloaded Norton system crashed straight away. Tried to remove it again with no luck, no matter what I did after that the Mesh PC would not run, not even in safe mode. Had to reformat the Harddrive and reinstall everything. Talking to a IT friend I'm told Norton 360 doesn't work well with Windows XP but Norton will not admit to this. I would not recommend Norton 360 from my experince for Windows XP, but seems fine on Windows Vista. Going to try another brand of Anti-virus for our PC now.

Summary: I wouldn't recommend Norton 360 on anything less than Vista
