Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Flower Dew Moisturising Gel-Cream for Eyes
by jillycat
I got this eye cream following going to Ragdale Hall for my Hen do. At the time we went they were having a Decleor promotion week with lot of offers, free samples and reductions on treatments. This worked like an advertisers dream as several of came away converted to this brand. This was one of the freebies that we were given. Now up ... till now it has languished in my bathroom cupboard waiting for me to try it. Why not till now I hear you ask well I had forgotten about it firstly. I have never used an eye cream in my life before so wasn't sure what the point of one would be. Surely I haven't got to that point in my life at 36 that I need a separate cream for my eyes face neck etc. But in the interests of Dooyoo reviews I thought I would give it a go over these past few days till the sample ran out.

My experience
********************
So given I have puffy eyes and dark circles all the time at the moment which I blame my 17 month old son so who knows maybe it is time to try this cream. So I squirt a little out of my sample tube and give it a sniff you can smell a floral base to the light liquid I am not expert enough in aromatherapy to be convinced I can smell all of the individual notes but comparing it to my Neroli oil that that is the major smell which is very pleasant. The colour of the liquid is a pale straw colour. Now following the instructions to dab this in and work my way from the inner part of my towards outer part I can feel this liquid quickly being absorbed by my skin. There is no stinging to my eyes which can sometime happen with cheap moisturizers as I have sensitive skin and sometime find that products around my eyes cause a lot of problems especially due to the fact that I wear contact lens. Now there was no magic moment were the blackness vanished or the puffiness went down darn. But my eye area did feel cooler and refreshed in the same way that your eyes feel refreshed if you put cucumber on them. Now over the course of this week of using this product I have to say I have liked the feel of the cream going on but I haven't noticed any startling results in the reduction of dark circles though there is less puffiness. I don't now how long it takes to see results but given that I probably am going to be sleep deprived till my son hits the teenage years of staying in bed I am unsure if any product is going to get me looking totally bright eyed in the near future. I think this is a product I am going to put on hold buying wise for the moment and try to get sleep to reduce the black rings and hope that my normal moisturizer keeps doing its job for the wrinkles and use cucumber to get the puffiness down. I don't know if a long trail of this product would of convinced me of its effectiveness and persuade me to part with my cash but it stays in my pocket for the time being.

Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Flower Petals Eye & Lip Moisturising Mask
by loopyloulon
I am a total beauty shopaholic. One of my favourite and most trusted brands is Decleor. Whilst going through my teens (10 years ago...ouch!) i had trouble with my skin. Not the usual acne but my skin was unhappy and unpredictable to say the least. Regularly red and dry and then changed to greasy. I first came accross Decleor watching QVC ... and have been a fan since. Their products sorted my skin out and i haven't looked back.
What does this product claim to do?
Like a bouquet of moisture beneath a veil of anti-pollution care, this mask with its rich texture. It immediately diminishes signs of fatigue, dark circles and puffiness, intensely moisturises, protects against pollution.
How much is it?
Prepare yourself, Decleor doesn't come cheap. A 30ml tube will set you back £24.50. I buy mine from my local gym but Decleor is available in salons, online ar www.decleor.co.uk and of course from ebay. It's worth hunting around as you can often find discounted Decleor online.
What is the product like?
It is a rather thick cream that smells very herbal and heavily floral. The smell is not at all offensive or overly perfumed, it's a fresh and invigorating smell. One of the main ingredients is neroli, so if you are familiar with the Decleor range you will know this smell immediately as it features heavily in the brand. It also contains nourishing pro vitamin B5 and beautifully scented mint and orange blossom waters.
How i apply:
I apply this once or twice a week only.I apply a thick layer (but use a surprisingly small amount) on my eyelids and inder my eyes and on my lips. I leave for 10 minutes and then wash off in the shower or remove with eye make up remover pads.
What i think:
I am a regular face mask user and am often frustrated that i cant use them round my eyes and on my lips. This leaves me with lifeless, sometimes crapey skin under my eyes and flaking lips. That's not good for anyone, but unforgivable for a 27 year old! This mask fills the gap in my beauty routine. It is not at all irritating on my sensitive skin. It is really soothing and moisturising. My lips and eyes feel uplifted and soft after using. Decleor say this has anti pollution properties. I can't say whether this helps as i don't live in a built up area. This may be great for people who live in say London and suffer from dryness caused by pollution. I do think this is worth the money. Read the complete review |

Decleor Eye Contour Firming Serum
by freud
Not only do I have an unfair share of wrinkles & lines around my eyes but, to top it all, the last week or so I've been waking up with puffy eyes - how unfair is that?!
I had a good look in my lotions & potions to see what might be of use as slices of cucumber & cold tea bags didn't seem to work on the puffiness ... like they used to do.
I've always been a bit wary of using products around my eyes as they are quite sensitive & can become irritated quite easily but I remembered I'd bought some Decleor Hydrotenseur Eye Contour Firming Serum last year & decided I'd give it a try again.
I'm not quite sure why I stopped using it as it's a good product, knowing me it was probably because of the price & I wanted to save it for emergencies as it cost £30 for 15ml.
The container is glass & has a gold pull-off cap & the white plastic dispenser is a push-down one which allows the serum to be released. In my opinion there are 2 gripes about this -
- you can't control the amount dispensed which means you waste the product
- the plastic dispenser gunges up quite easily.
The serum itself is a good consistency - thinner than a gel but thicker than water which means it's easy to distibute where you want around the eye area. It doesn't smell & although it looks pale yellow in the container it's actually clear when put on the skin.
The ingredients aren't listed on the bottle but were on the leaflet & box which I didn't keep. I never buy eye products unless they are made from natural products such as plant extracts & are pure oil-based so I'm 100% sure, especially at this price, that there are no 'extras' added.
The serum claims to,' help moisturise the fragile skin around the eyes, smoothing fine lines & wrinkles leaving the skin ready for make-up'.
Directions state it should be 'gently applied to the eye area morning & evening working from the outside in'.
Results
~
- I must say that it DID reduce a lot of the puffiness within half an hour of applying the serum.
- it's easy to apply, non-sticky, absorbed well & smoothed some of the fine lines around the eye.
- I can tell I've used it as there's a tightening effect when I smile or frown so it must be doing something!
Summary
~
- very expensive but, to be fair, it does last ages.
- worked on my puffy eyes & did help with the fine lines around the eye area.
- ingredients aren't listed on the bottle itself.
- the dispenser dispenses too much at a time.
- worth a try but I'd advise buying it from QVC as you get a 30 day no quibble money-back guarantee if you're not happy. Read the complete review |
