Allied - Bad Service (Allied Carpets)

Advantages: Nothing good about it at all..

Disadvantages: Unhelpful staff..

Allied carpets have recently been all over the news for going into liquidation. Some of the companies have been bought over, but others have not been meaning hundreds of people losing there jobs.

I recently went into an Allied carpet store in Great Western Road and I was not treated very well at all, yeah ok all they want is your money but they could have been nicer about it. I walked in and was asked on at least 3 occasions can I help, can I help, Can I help... Fair enough its their job but 3 people give me a minute to look.

When I approached one of the sales staff he could not have been any ruder, wondered what I had done wrong I turned to my partner and asked him. He then shrugged and we went to speak to the manager. The manager must have been in a mood that day as he was not very helpful either.

Before I had went into the store I had heard a lot of positive about the store never anything negative, yeah fair enough they have went into liquidation well some stores but its always nice to have a smile and keep the customers happy.

My friend recently had a totally different experience with them and said they could not have been anymore helpful in store, then the carpet fitters came. Previously she had got carpets from here and were fitted perfectly and lovely from a father and son, who looked almost like brothers, she does not want to mention names, but as I was saying the new carpet fitters she said did not even look old enough to drive, he came into her house looking rough and had a bad attitude. She complained and got nothing out of it..

So my overall review of Allied is, if they get better staff I may approach them again, but until then I am staying well clear! The staff are getting paid to give a service so why not do it? ??

Summary: Costs nothing to smile.
