Advantages: Great clothing range

Disadvantages: Hot

Harvey Nichols is one of my favourite shops in London even though it is rather expensive, it is the sort of place I go when I want a treat or if the boyfreind has done something stupid and I can shame him into buying me something. Located in fashionable and pricey Knightsbridge it is near to Harrods and a host of other top end designer shops.

One of the things I like about it is that it is not as crowded as Harrods as it is less of a tourist attraction however it does get a fair few people who are just in there to look and not buy. It is bst for clothes in my opinion and while it does sell other general household furnishing, electricals and other high end goods it is the huge variety of fashion labels that it sells which makes it a draw for me.

In addition I used to use the hair salon that they have in store as well when I actually lived in London, mainly because the stylist I used to visit in the Debenhams on Oxford Street moved to Harvey Nichols and I followed him there, not in a creepy stalker way but because he was good.

Service is pretty good and while some of the floors are a bit cluttered in their layout on the whole it is quite spacious although one thing I do find is that often the store is just too hot to be comfortable and could do with an efficient air conditioning system.

Summary: Fashion store
