The writers of Are you Being Served must have visited Jarrolds at some time in their lives. It's such a lovely old-fashioned type of department store. They've revamped it on several occasions over the years, but it always gives that aura of timelessness. I always make a point of visiting Jarrolds when I'm in Norwich - I live and work about 5 miles outside. It's not a cheap department store but it's like entering an Aladdin's cave.
