Selfridges has got to be the best shop in Birmingham for me. As its only about a half hour bus ride away from where I live I am seen there a lot, although more often than not it's just browsing rather than actually buying anything!! I like more or less every single woman on the planet am a designer label lover whether it be handbags, purses or t-shirts but unfortunately I cant afford them as often as I would like. However when I do have a bit of money to burn this is the place you will find me spending it!!
Where Is This Selfridges?:
The Selfridges in Birmingham is situated in the relativley new Bullring Building this is around a 5 minute walk from both New Street & Moor Street station and even less from most bus stops. It is very simple to find and once your in the Bullring you will see it straight away.

The Store:
Now obviously if you have seen the size of any Selfridges store then you will realise that is has to be split up into different floors and categories for people to find their way around.
Floor 1: Food Hall, Wine Shop, Luggage, Kids & Coffee Shop
The food hall in Selfridges is amazing and despite what you may think its not actually that expensive, well it was a lot cheaper than I had imagined anyway. There's a very wide range of restaurants and cafes to suit you individual tastes and there even an actual shop where you can go and purchase food such as sushi and ravioli to take home and eat when you want to. Some of the restaurants include: Starbucks, YO Sushi, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (:P), New York Deli & Energy Kitchen among others. I have tried the doughnuts and New York Deli restaurants and they are both amazing and the food tastes soo nice so I really do recommend people try them.
Floor 2: Women's Street Fashion, Men's Street Fashion & Technology.
This floor is like my heaven with designer clothes and bags everywhere. I cant really comment of whether the Men's Fashion section is any good because obviously I have never shopped there but if its anything like the woman's part then I'm sure you will be very impressed. In this shop it does start to get a bit confusing because the sections are split up into sections but once you get your bearings it is very easy to find the designer name your looking for. I especially like the Topshop section they have in the Birmingham Selfridges because most of the clothes sold there are actually cheaper than in the real Topshop. Some of the designer brands they sell include: Juicy Couture, Paul's Boutique (MY FAVOURITE!!), Gucci, Prada & Versace among others. The prices are obviously pretty expensive but when they have a sale on you can get some amazing deals so it is worth taking a look.
Floor 3: Beauty Hall, Menswear, Mens Shoes & Sunglasses:
As I just mentioned in the last section I cant comment on the Mens sections but from what I have heard an seen the products seem to be fantastic. But the "Beauty Hall" is amazing. From reading my reviews by now you have probably guessed in a massive make-up and beauty junkie and if I'm looking for something a bit more upmarket and classy this is where I come to get my fix. I cant afford it very often but if your rolling in cash I highly recommend that you come here for any lotion or potion or even perfume you want or need.
Ranges include: Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Clarins, Clinque, Dior & Estee Lauder among others.
Floor 4: Lingerie, Womes Designer Wear, Womens Shoes, Accessories. Moet Bar & Gallery Restaurant & Hair Salon.
The shoes part of this section is like my own personal heaven and there is one pair of Chrsitian Louboutin stilettos that I am determined to own one day. I have never used the hair salon and that is simply because I could never afford it but having seen a few people who have had their hair cut or styled there I am very jealous because it looks amazing. The Moet Bar was where my works Xmas party was held this year and I felt really out of place because it is really nice and posh in there and I did not fit in with that image at all, trying to order a pint!! You should have seen the look on the staffs faces :) It was a good night out but not really my scene but if your used to wining and dining then this would be a great place for you!!
Overall:
Overall it is a great place to eat and shop but only if you have the money to do so, this store is not great for people on a budget. Every now and then though when you fancy treating yourself I highly recommend you do it in this store and for people who want a nice, tasty meal for very little cash this store is the perfect place to try out. I have always been really impressed with the customer service and Ive found the staff are always happy to help you find a certain brand name or the perfect dress for a night out and this just makes the whole shopping experience in my opinion much better. The Paul's Boutique display is where you will find me every time I have some cash, I'm addicted to this shop now after being initially sceptical and I'm sure you will be the same.
