Advantages: Good Quality Items, Huge Range, Unusual Products

Disadvantages: Slightly Higher End.

I have only ever visited the flagship store on Oxford Street, but that store is one of my favourite shops in London. Selfridges is a large and very famous department store located on Oxford Street, though I would recommend taking the tube to either Marble Arch or Bond Street rather than Oxford Street as both stations are a lot closer to Selfridges. The store has a trademark colour of yellow, it's on the signs and also is the colour of the unmissable carrier bags that you see everywhere around the touristy parts of London. I tend to find that whilst prestigious, Selfridges is a lot more relaxed and friendly than Harrods whilst still selling some very nice products and expensive items.

Selfridges is a department store, it sells Jewellery and Watches, Gold and Diamond encrusted mobile phones, designer clothing, fragrances, sun glasses etc Featuring all of the world's leading designer brands. It also has a food hall where you can buy delicasies like octopuss! I absoloutely love the sweet shop in Selfridges! They have a large Jelly Belly flavoured Jelly Bean loose sweet station where you can pick up every flavour, and the price is around £2 per 100g of beans. They also sells products like Hersheys chocolate which is lovely but very hard to get hold of in this country. One of my favourite products was a Giant Chuppa Chups lolly that must have been about 700 times larger than the regular little 20p lollys, priced at £14.99.

I really enjoyed looking at some of the clothing which I found much easier to browse than in Harrods. My own favourite section was the Levis Jeans section.

A lot more pleasant that Harrods and comes recommended from me, has to be my favourite London store.

Summary: My Favourite London Store!

Selfridges is better than Harrods because (shock horror) people go their to shop, rather than wander round with their mouths open looking at things they'll never be able to afford, getting in the way of people who can.
