Much more pleasant than Harrods. (Selfridges)

Advantages: Good Quality Items, Huge Range, Unusual Products Disadvantages: Slightly Higher End.
I have only ever visited the flagship store on Oxford Street, but that store is one of my favourite shops in London. Selfridges is a large and very famous department store located on Oxford Street, though I would recommend taking the tube to either Marble Arch or Bond Street rather than Oxford Street as both stations are a lot closer to Selfridges. The store has a trademark colour of yellow, it's on the signs and also is the colour of the unmissable carrier bags that you see everywhere around the touristy parts of London. I tend to find that whilst prestigious, Selfridges is a lot more relaxed and friendly than Harrods whilst still selling some very nice products and expensive items. Summary: My Favourite London Store! |
