I've been to a lot of department stores but Selfridges is outstanding. I as first attracted by the pole dances in the vast shop window at the oxford street store in London.

It was just as visually pleasing inside when I entered in the beauty hall, there were cosmetics counter from every brand you could ever think of like clinique, Bobbi brown Elizabeth Arden, estee lauder, channel and Christian Dior. And the same range was available in the fragrance sector of the beauty hall as if you've seen it on the adverts it's here.

Then on this floor is the accessories hall with a huge range of hats, handbags, scarves, jewellery, gloves and purses from brand like Gucci, Louis vuitton, Burberry, mulberry moschino and dkny and at reasonable prices.

The food hall is also on this floor with an immense range of counters selling every type of cheese, meat, fish, wine, spirits, dairy products, fruit, vegetable and foreign food in the world its like the largest supermarket ever. Then on the lower floors are a bookshop with just walls of books and also a technology hall with load of the latest hi-fi?s, tv?s, pc?s, cameras and mobile phone and it also has a HMV so you don't have to go down oxford street to buy great music. On the floors above the ground floor are the major sized fashion departments spread on two massive floors so you can imagine you can get any brand here like Dolce&Gabbana, versace, dkny, Armani, Calvin Klein, french connection and Paul frank with a great selection of the brands merchandise. And above that are the home and interiors department, which have everything to make a home into a perfect contempory living space with furniture, linens and accessories plus a cook shop and home appliances section. So overall a great place to shop and meet friends for lunch here as there are 18 restaurants here which offer a wide range of foods like Sushi, pizza, oysters, pasties, gourmet cuisine, pizza and dim sum to wet your taste bud
