T J Hughes

T J Hughes is a department store specialising in sellng a wide range of products at discounted prices. Although the store originates from Scotland, there are now a number of branches across the UK as well as online site you can also buy from. I have visited the branch located in Watford (in Hertfordshire) numerous times so can talk about my experience here. The store is based on a number of different floors, however the layour is rather vague making it difficult to find stuff. I discovered TJ Hughes about 2 years ago through a friend who really recommended it. The store that I visit seems to have everything you could possibly ever want - toiletries, beds, make up , gazeabos. There are so many different departments spread across five floors, it is a bit of a challenge finding anything as the store is not layed out very logically. However, once you have found what you are looking for, you are in for a treat. They stock well known brands at a fraction of the price, usually between 50 % or as far as 90%. ME AND MY PARTNER CAME INTO THE HULL STORE TO BUY A TV AND FOUND THAT THE STAFF KEPT US WAITING FOR 45 MINS NONE OF THE STAFF SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOIN WE THEN HAD TO TAKE THE TV BACK AS IT WAS FAULTY THE STAFF THEN SEEMED VERY UNCOOPERATIVE AND I WAS THEN KEPT WAITING AGAIN I WENT BACK BECAUSE I FORGOT MY RECIEPT I WAS THREE MINS LATE FOR CLOSING AND THEY HAD TURNED ALL THE TILLS OFF I THEN WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO GO HOME WITHOUT A TV AND COME BACK THE NEXT DAY SO ME AND MY CHILDREN HAD TO GO ALL NIGHT WITHOUT A TV THE WAY I HAVE BEEN TREATED AT TJ HUGHES IS DISCUSTING !

I have the opportunity to visit two different branches of TJ Hughes in different parts of the country, and Boy aren't they different! So much so that I almost thought it was a waste of time to review them, but for the sake of diversity (very now buzz word) I will. Store number 1- Wolverhampton. This store is to be found in the main shopping mall, The Mander Centre. It is set on three floors. The store is neat, tidy (if a little cluttered) and well staffed. This is possibly on of my favourite shops. i am possibly what people class as a shopoholic and when its possible im out there shopping. even if its just for something small i can spend hours shopping looking for it. TJ hughes are now obviously spreading pretty quickly across the uk and i have to say... i love it. I go there for alot of things. Fragrences - ok so they dont have the huge range of fragrances that places such as boots and the perfume shop have.
