Sheffield City Centre store of TJ Hughes
A cheap department store, a downmarket Debenhams if you like.
Stock includes, clothing and shoes for men, women and children, gifts, accessories, household, toys, a cafe, a hairdresser and a beautician.
The staff here are ridiculous, when I last could be bothered to make the effort the staff on the top floor were racing around in a wheel barrow along the toy aisles, clearly younger minded than the tiniest clientele and with less care for customer safety, my own forethought saved the front of my twins pram rather than the insight of the juveniles employed by the store.
To add insult to injury the toy range was incredibly poor and I left having bought nothing.
On the lower ground floor, no one as available to help when I had enquiries and when I finally went to pay for an item, the roping used to keep the queue in order was not wide enough for the double pushchair I use. Seeing me struggle the two till assistants dealt death glares and pointedly ignored me whist discussing their own vastly important news.
I finally moved the entire barrier 12 inches or so over to allow me access and was greeted with further dirty looks and no apology.
Now running the gauntlet of the actual row of tills I was apprehended to wait and I couldn't leave that area since that was too narrow as well.
Having overcome the dull store, the distinct lack of decent quality stock, the insane racing idiots on the top floor and the smelly lifts, I was damned if I would leave without the one item I had found worth buying.
But I won't be going back.
Summary: Go somewhere else for a better service and product
