Advantages: Non greasy, helps to clear skin, keeps skin moisturised for all day

Disadvantages: Pricey

Active Moist is one of Dermalogica's most popular products and I think it is deserving of its popularity. This moisturiser is very light and when applied to the skin is absorbed quickly without leaving a greasy sheen. I have been using this cream for several months now alongside the cleanser and toner and have found my skin is much clearer. This may be because this moisturiser is not greasy and so when I put make up on after it does not keep the grease in. Instead the make up stays put all day and I use much less.

As I have quite dry skin, I will occasionally use a thicker cream at night, but Active Moist is perfect as a day cream. The moisturiser is particularly good for skin as it contains Lemon, Ivy, Watercress and Burdock which help refine the skin and Lavender, Mallow and Cucumber which help provide deep-hydration. The cream locks in moisture while allowing the skin to breathe rather than blocking pores and therefore sebaceous oils.
Active Moist is quite expensive, as with other products in the Dermalogica range and a 50ml bottle retails at £24.10, but then again I think sometimes you need to pay for quality. However I am a bit of a bargain hunter and have managed to find it at £16.98 at www.jerseybeautycompnay.co.uk. The amount of stress your skin goes through and how much of an asset it is to your appearance and self-confidence, I think paying a little extra for a premium brand is ultimately value for money.

Active Moist has received many accolades and was votes InStyle magazine's Best Beauty Buy, an award I think it deserves.

Summary: A winning moisturiser to improve your skin but does cost a little extra
