Advantages: Does exfoliate well
Disadvantages: Far too expensive
I inherited the Dermalogica ultimate buffing cloth from my sister who had one in her drawer that she had for ages and hadn't used. As I regularly liberate products from her I felt that it was a shame to have something and never use it. To be completely honest I wasn't entirely sure what it was at first and assumed it was something for my face when in fact it is for your body.
When getting it home and using it I found that the buffing cloth is basically what it says it is and that is a cloth. It is dark blue and slightly rougher than a normal face cloth for instance might be but at the end of the day it is a fabric cloth.
You use the cloth with body wash to buff and exfoliate the skin. Because it is fabric it is easy to fold up scrunch for elbows, knees and those hard to reach places. The cloth does work well and gives a thorough exfoliation. After buffing my body with it I can feel how smooth my skin is, it is rather harsh though so I do need to make sure that I slather myself in moisturiser afterwards.
Once you have finished with the cloth you can just ring it out and then leave it to dry naturally for the next time you want to use it. If you feel it is getting particularly dirty you can also machine wash it. It also comes with its very own little carry bag for taking to the gym etc.
I wouldn't recommend you buy this looking for something to exfoliate your face as I personally think this would be far too harsh for the delicate facial skin.
I had a look online to price the cloth and found it has a rrp of £11.95. I love Dermalogica and know their prices are high but that is because of the wonderful natural ingredients they use in them but for me personally I would not buy this given the choice as although it is good at £11.95 the price is just too high for something that doesn't do anything more than a cheap 50p loofah would.
Summary: Good but save yourself some money and buy a loofah instead
