Advantages: It had a decent effect on clearing up my problem skin

Disadvantages: The results weren't good enough for me to consider buying it for myself

If you have read any of my skincare and make-up product reviews in the past, you'll know that I very rarely buy the more expensive products as I don't have that kind of money at my disposable. Dermalogica is a typically pricey brand that I wouldn't dream of buying for myself given the price, but I was lucky enough to receive some Dermalogica samples from a relative in the US as a gift a while ago.

***The Product**
The facial wash is a clear liquid that you simply wash off after a few minutes. As per the name, this facial wash is supposed to help your skin stay clear and blemish-free through the active ingredients that it contains. I have oily skin that is very prone to breakouts and this was like something of a godsend ... if it actually worked, that is!

***The Results***
My sample lasted for around three weeks of using it every three days. I didn't like to use it any more frequently than this in case the ingredients were too searching for my sometimes delicate/sensitive skin. After this, I did see an improvement in my skin but I don't really know how much this product contributed to that as I was following Neutrogena's recommendations and using it in conjunction with the Sebum Clearing Masque, which I really liked using.

***The Price***
I was rather taken aback by the price of the Sebum Clearing Masque (around £28) but this was even more extortionate at around £30 from Amazon. If I'm going to pay that much for a single product (bearing in mind that using it in combination with the Sebum Clearing Masque would cost around £58), I'd want it to do an amazing job of actually clearing my skin and this didn't prevent blackheads and blemishes from forming or clear existing ones, so in that sense it was no different to any other facial wash that I've used.

Summary: Not the best, but not useless either
