Advantages: Easy and effective.

Disadvantages: Need to stick to the regime for it to work, not an over night miracle worker.

Dermalogica remind me of Elemis in their approach to skincare i.e science behind the nature. They use a scientific approach to use products found in nature to work for our skins and they have pretty much all bases covered depending on your skin type and skin issue.

This product is for those with pigmentation !! I was a bit of a sunbed Queen in my youth and would love to turn the clock back in that respect but it's NOT too late to try and help your skin. However, prevention is ALWAYS better than a cure, so unless you're serious about helping to reduce pigmentation by using an SPF of at least 30 every day, all year round, then there's no point in using a product that will help with the pigmentation you have, as the pigmentation will continue no matter how much you try. So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE protect your skin everyday.

( I use various products depending on who my skin is acting and the season, but for those with serious pigmentation issues who really need as much help as possible, I would recommend Ultrasun's SPF30 Anti-Aging Formula. This is a PHYSICAL sunscreen and needs to be applied last, so if you wish to apply other products in your daily skincare routine. then apply them FIRST. Ultrasun products are effective in that they have ALL DAY protection. Always check whether your SPF product has a physical or chemical sunscreen however, as chemical sunscreens need to bond to your skin cells first and they must be applied FIRST before anything else. )

Pigmentation is basically clumps of pigment in your skin. I would describe your skin as though it is many many layers of chiffon. And on that chiffon you have a wine stain ( the clumps of pigment ) and as you work on the removing the wine stain and removing each layer of chiffon, the wine stain becomes less and less noticeable. This is how we need to treat your pigmentation issues, by protecting our new skin by applying a high SPF product and by treating and removing the layers of skin to reveal a less noticeable 'wine stain'.

Why this product ?

This product not only helps with the brightening of the skin by using active brighteners, such licorice, bearberry, rice, kiwi and mulberry, but it also contains lactic acid ( for gentle exfoliation ) and vitamin C to help diminish skin discolouration.

I would this product every night for at least two months for a boosted result, alongside your SPF product in the daytime.
