Advantages: Solution for noticeably red skin, soothing sensation, SPF, it works!
Disadvantages: Hefty on the price tag (but as it works this is just one of those things!)
Suffering from rosacea, I get quite red cheeks which when really bad I struggle to cover with makeup. Up until recently I had tried a number of products which hadn't worked and when my beautician suggested I tried the Dermalogica sheer tint redness relief I was happy to give it a try on her recommendation despite it costing £33.
Coming in a medium sized (40ml) white tube with the usual Dermalogica labelling, it is a fairly simple looking product for the price, but for me it has worked wonders. A cooling sensation begins the process upon application and the green tinted moisturiser soon rubs in to the skin. The first night I didn't rub it in properly and got a bit of a fright when I woke up in the morning with a green face but it does rub in well so you could apply on a morning too if required.
For my own personal needs I have found that using the cream once before bed after my usual skin care regime has just about got rid of any redness within around one week. Results were noticeable after two to three days use, but dramatically reduced after a week. Given the high price of the cream I only apply to the affected areas (my cheek bones) and use my normal moisturiser for any other areas of my face.
There isn't really a scent to the cream; it is more of a clean smell from the natural ingredients within it. The cream is tinted a mud green colour but this is purely natural colourings from the ingredients and hasn't got any nasty chemicals to make it that colour. The green formula works to neutralise any reddening of the skin and the results have been magical for me.
The SPF 15 in the cream is a nice little feature although for me using on an evening before bed I'm probably not going to get much use out of this! While the product works for me as a solution to rosacea, it is also described as a healer against sun damage, so I shall be taking this with me when I holiday. It reduces environmental damage but also protects from it, amazing!
The moisturise is light and non-greasy and soaks into the skin well leaving only a touch of green visible if not rubbed in in front of a mirror.
The only niggle with this product and it has nothing to do with the product itself really is the fact that I paid £33 in the salon, unaware that it can be snapped up online for only £25.80 best price.
Summary: 5 stars
