I follow this with a dermalogica toner (don't think it matters as much which kind) and then the dermalogica redness relief moisturiser, and doing this makes me feel that I'm doing treating my skin well. It feels like quite a natural product which doesn't leave any stinging like some face care does and the smell is pretty neutral (not flowery or strong in any way) so you can't really go ...more

Premium Review Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser: Worth every penny! (256 words)

I first tried this product when I received a number of small tester sachets. To be honest, I do not generally do the whole cleanse, tone & moisturise programme - and tend to buy the cheapest make-up remover and moisturiser from Boots. But having turned 30, and seeing a few wrinkles appearing here and there, I thought I would be good and take better care of my skin. So, samples in hand, I still took off my make-up with Boots' cheapest, but then I used a damp cotton pad and cleansed my face with the Dermalogica Cleanser. Its amazing how much muck was still on my face that the Boots stuff left behind! The Cleanser is creamy, but doesnt foam up when you wash ...  Read the complete review

I use this religiously morning and evening. I have sensitive combination skin sometimes prone to redness and this makes my skin soft and more even. Yes it is more expensive than buying cleanser from a supermarket, but your skin is so important I definitely think it's worth paying the extra and it's a big bottle so lasts probably 2 - 3 months. It also feels really nice so rather than dreading my before-bed routine I actually enjoy it. I follow this with a dermalogica toner (don't think it matters as much which kind) and then the dermalogica redness relief moisturiser, and doing this makes me feel that I'm doing treating my skin well. My beautician recommended the Dermologica products to me as part of my wedding day preparation. I have also heard from many other brides that this range is considered one of the best out in the market. I have sensitive skin which reacts to hot wax and the sun (causing sore botches) but I know other people's skin may be more sensitive and although this cleanser is part of the Dermologica's range for sensitive skin, I have heard from others trying this cleanser that this product is still not "calming" enough. However, for me, this cleanser is so much better than the bog standard from Boots etc. Smell: The scent is very mild, almost unnoticeable ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ultracool (214 words)

My skin type is combination with sensitive cheeks and nose that go red when eating chilli, drinking alchohol, and using products that are not good for me. This cleanser is very soothing, fragrance free, fairly good cleansing power but does not foam, so sometimes I just cleanse twice to make sure it is super clean. It has helped the redness on my face, it does not itch or sting, or pull my face taught. Even though this cleanser is supposed to be for senstive skin, I believe it is good for most skin conditions except extremely oily. It kind of has the texture and feel of Cetaphil, but has many other ingredients that seem to really help calm ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser: Quick skin remedy (93 words)
by - written on 31/07/05 (Somewhat useful, 585 readings)

this is a thickish cream-gel cleanser, and it is very effective at removing make up -even eye make-up and mascara. i used it for a short time, when my skin was highly reactive / allergic, and it was actually recommended by my doctor. The only problem is that it is quite difficult to remove, so you often resort to washing it off with warm water, as opposed to wiping with a cotton pad. Very nice product overall, and really does work to calm redness etc. Most suited to very dry skins / very sensitive ...  Read the complete review
