Advantages: User-friendly, Practical

Disadvantages: Less powerful than other publishing software

I am a graduate in Communication Studies and Adobe PageMaker 7.0 was my very first approach to real publishing. With its user-friendly interface it had been identified as the best way to introduce students (both advanced computer users and those less familiar with technology) to real-life publishing. I continued using PageMaker 7.0 at home too, and I produced everything from posters to leaflets and magazines. I own desktop publishing software issued by other companies as well, but I have found PageMaker 7.0 to be surely the best way to get familiar with publishing, and it can effectively meet the needs of both the entry-level publisher and the more demanding pro.

Welcome to Dooyoo.

A few tips to get you started on the site: Although there's no limit on the amount of reviews you can post it's better to post just three a day then you'll find you get more reads. If you read and rate around the site you'll soon find out what should be included in a review plus you'll get known to other members which will result in them reading things that you post.

It’s always a good idea to write your reviews as though you are writing for someone who has never heard of the product, that way you’ll cover everything. Also it’s best to write your review in Microsoft Word and run a spellchecker before posting onto the site.

You can ask any of the guides for help with any aspect of the site and a list of all the guides can be found here http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/c ommunity/_page/advice_gui des/. They will do everything they can to help with your query.

You can sign up for your own guest book at http://www.crosswordcheat s.com/tooyoo/ where you can chat with other Dooyoo members.

Above all I hope you enjoy it here and have fun :O) Sara
