Alpro Soya Strawberry & Forest Fruits - creamy, fruity, dairy free pudding.

It has been years now since I ate a dairy based yogurt. I did use to love them, but since developing asthma as an adult, I have found dairy products make me feel clogged up. I missed my pudding snack though, so started to look around for an alternative and found Alpro Soya yogurts.

I originally bought these as a 4 pack of strawberry only, but for some reason the manufacturers decided to change the flavours. I can now only buy a 4 pack with 2 strawberry and 2 forest fruits.

These 4 yogurts come in a thin plastic pot, have foil lids and you have to snap them apart. Wrapped round them is a cardboard sleeve, which is mainly coloured in a fresh green and white. There are close-up shots of plump, shiny strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

When you peel back the foil lid of an Alpro Soya, it does look at little lumpy and there is usually a liquid layer on top. I always give it a good stir, which turns it into a gorgeous thick and creamy pudding. The smell of fruit is light and subtle, but very appetising.

I find the forest fruit variety, a little sharp in flavour for me. It does have plenty of small pieces of fruit throughout and is an attractive deep pink colour, but I really don't like all the tiny seeds sticking in my teeth. Thankfully my oldest son loves these, so they never go to waste. The strawberry flavour however, is another story altogether.

I absolutely love strawberry everything and Alpro Soya is no exception. The pudding is a lovely pale pink colour and when stirred is thick and creamy in texture. Dotted throughout the pudding, are nice sized pieces of sweet strawberries, which are just soft enough to make them slide down your throat with ease, along with the rest of the pudding. I find Alpro Soya very refreshing, unlike dairy ones which seem to lie at the back of my throat, making me clogged up and needing a drink afterwards.

Alpro Soya Strawberry & Forest Fruits are available from Tesco in a pack of 4 for £1.69 but until 11th June, you can pick up 2 for £3

I wouldn't buy these, if my son didn't like the forest fruits flavour and I do wish they would give me the option of buying a 4 pack of strawberry. If you enjoy raspbery or blackcurrants yogurts, then I am sure you will love them.

I have to deduct a star because of this though, as I can only eat 2 out of 4 yogurts, but those 2 puddings are simply gorgeous!
