A Gorgeous Change From Plain Custard Or Yogurt

Sometimes I love a pot of Ambrosia ready made custard, I just eat it cold like a yogurt and love the thick creamy texture and flavour of it. The other day in Tesco I noticed they have brought a new flavour out and that is Toffee flavour, I had to buy a pot to try because I love toffee flavours but always end up getting disappointed when I buy a toffee flavoured yogurt.

This custard is GORGEOUS though. You can have it hot or cold, to warm it up it just goes in the microwave for a minute but I prefer mine cold because it's a lot more refreshing and I think you should only eat hot custard when you're having it with a pudding or something.

Cold it's yummy, I love the way the toffee flavour comes through but you can still taste the rich custard through it as well. The toffee is a proper nice caramel flavour and it makes the custard taste mega sweet but it doesn't get over powering, like I said they've used just enough toffee flavour so that you can still taste the custard and that's deffo a good thing because the taste of Ambrosia is the business and I wouldn't ever buy a flavoured variety that drowns the original flavour out.

It's a nice thick custard that has got a wickedly creamy taste and texture. I love the synthetic flavour of it because when you're eating you KNOW it's not home made custard but it deffo tastes better than anything I could make at home! lol I reckon this would go lovely with apple pie, toffee and apples always go nice together and the sweet flavour of this toffee custard makes me think it would bring out the taste of apple nice.

A 150g pot costs 41p but at the minute Tesco have got a brill offer on where you can buy 4 pots for £1.00.... I took them up on that and because there's a good shelf life on the custard pots I ended up buying 12 pots for £3.00. I thought I might as well because I eat loads of them and that's a wicked saving.

Recommended..... Ambrosia custard with a twist!!!
