Advantages: Yum Yum Yum
Disadvantages: None
The first words that come to mind when I think about angel delight are yum yum yum yum. I can remember making it with my Mam when I was a kid; I would keep checking the fridge to see if it was done yet. I would then eat the full bowl because it was just too nice to put down.
The packaging:
Angel delight comes in sachet form with angel delight on the front and a picture of a halo. It confirms that it does not contain any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. The background of the sachet has clouds on it to indicate that the desert is light and fluffy.
What is angel delight?
Angel delight comes in a powdered form and it is designed to be mixed up with milk to create a mousse like sweet desert.
How to make it:
Angel delight is very easy to make and great fun for kids to as no cooking is required.
You have to start by Pouring ½ a pint of cold fresh milk into a bowl; you then gradually add the Angel delight powder and whisk until the mixture becomes light and creamy. The desert must be left to thicken for at least 5 minutes. There is no need to chill so putting it into the fridge is optional.
Flavours:
Angel delight comes in a few different flavours such as:
Strawberry
Banana
Chocolate
Butterscotch
Raspberry
Recipe ideas:
There are lots of different things that you can do to make angel delight a little bit more interesting. Here are just a few:
Pour angel delight over a fresh banana and top with smarties and sprinkles. Always a favourite with the kids.
Pour over a tin of fruit cocktail and add some sprinkles.
Pour angel delight into a desert glass and use fruit to make funny animal faces. Great for a party treat.
Allergen advice:
Angel delight contains Milk and Soya. It is suitable for vegetarians.
Angel delight costs around 70 pence. You can purchase cheaper versions of the desert but from experience they are not as tasty.
Summary: Great cheap desert thats fun to make with kids
