“ Brand: Asda / Type: Cheesecake „
I recently bought the Double Chocolate Cheesecake at Asda for £3.98, this was for a whole cheesecake and I thought as part of the 'Extra Special' range, this wasn't bad value for money. The cheesecake comes in a cream cardboard box with a transparent window on the front / top so you can see the item. It is a birds eye view. From the top you can just see the creamy milk chocolate top with chocolate sauce on top. It looks very appealing, hence my choice. When you get the cheesecake out of the box, you notice the other colours. On the box the cheesecake is described as chocolate and vanilla cheesecake with biscuit base. It is most definitely as it is described and very creamy, for those who like cheesecake, this is a superb, rich in flavour cheesecake. The biscuit base takes the taste from completely chocolate to a more savoury taste, the chocolate is very rich and tasty but it does over power the vanilla, and the biscuit, although it is a nice mixture and a must for any chocoholic, cheesecake fan. The weight is 560 grams and you can get approximately 10-12 slices from this cheesecake. It is great for family occasions or after dinner. This cheesecake does have allergy advice: Contains Gluten. Contains Wheat. Contains Eggs. Contains Milk. Contains Soya\Soybeans. Contains Soya.. May contain traces of Seeds.. This item is also suitable for vegetarians. The Stats! If you have a sweet tooth and are a chocoholic this is a definite contender, the only shame about this product is Asda do not sell single slices like they do with some of the other cheesecakes. I would buy myself a slice every time I did my shopping. I can't always find an excuse to buy a whole cheesecake, although I do try to find one. This cheesecake is very creamy and quite sickly, but then aren't they all to an extent, it is what I love about them, I think the reason you can notice this more in this cheesecake is because of the chocolate flavour, it is not as subtle as a vanilla or fruit cheesecake and can be sickly. This is the type of dessert you can't go over the top on, because you physically can't have too much due to it being quite strong and intense. I would love to eat the whole thing but find after a generous slice I have had enough, for the time being. Go on, give it a try.
