“ Brand: Asda / Type: Cheesecake „
Wow, I have to confess I have a bit of an addiction when it comes to this New York Vanilla Cheesecake. It's soft, spongy cheese cake layer, enough to get your mouth watering, and once in the mouth it melts on the tongue leaving a rich vanilla taste that tickles your taste buds. Then comes the crunchy biscuit base that adds the varied texture that combined with the cheese cake is just divine. It's a match made in heaven, somewhere you'll be after eating this.
Unfortunately it's high on the calories; of course there had to be a downside! At 1486 calories per 100g, it's not something to be taken lightly, considering the whole cake is 560g! Per serving then it's about 1000 calories; based on eight slices. Eeeeek! There's also a high fat content at around 25% and sugar content at 15%. Having said this, when I only have it as a treat on the odd occasion I don't mind so much, and really, I couldn't resist not having this ever again. So what that it breaks the bank every now and again.
It's suitable for vegetarians, but may contain nuts. I also like the fact that there are no Artificial Colours, Artificial Flavours and Artificial Preservatives.
It is a little pricey at £3, but well worth every penny, and if you're feeding the whole family, you'll get eight good sized pieces that are just enough after a delicious main course. It's looks simple, but tastes delicious. The light sprinkle of icing sugar keeps it looking fresh and yummy.
It's packaged well, in a sturdy box to protect your gorgeous cheesecake, with a large cellophane window to admire your cheesecake before you buy it.
