ASDA Chocolate Profiterola Gateau!!
If you love chocolate you will probably like this product. I recently purchased this from ASDA and it cost me 4 pounds. The Gateau itself serves around 12 people and is quite large in size.
The cake has a sponge type base which is then covered in chocolate mousse type texture. Within this sits the large cream profiteroles. More mousse is added and chocolate and the wholeoutside of the gateau is then covered in the mousse.
I personally thought the cake was a tad sickly for me, however if you are a chocolate lovely I am sure you will like this. I served this cake at a party and it ha d gone instantly, it was by far the most popular and most liked cake. I would serve this cake with either ice cream or fresh cream, however if you choose to serve with ice cream I would keep it simple as the cake has a strong taste alone.
The cake takes around 4 hours to defrost and then it is ready to eat. Iwould keep it chilled as it will start to melt and wilt if you leave it at room temperature.
Overall a tasty cake, but definatley not one for people who do not like too much chocolate.
