Overall the trifle was rather delicate and soft, the cream was whipped into shape and rather tasty, then came the custard, very nice 9/10 abit sickly but good quality.

But the main problem with Asda's Strawberry Trifle is the spongey bit. It completely spoils the eating experiance and turns a delicious desert into a disasterous one. The sponge was airy and dry and i only like sponge with no air.

I am not an expert on cooking although my brother has a GCSE in food technology and he believes that i have a valid point when saying that the sponge is a bad point of a traditional British pudding.

I would urge Asda to think about alternatives for the sponge as i want to regain the feeling of not wanting my pudding to end and with the sponge included these trifles dont make me feel like this.
