Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia Dessert / Yoghurts

Product Type: Ben & Jerry's Dessert / Yoghurts

Newest Review: ... is no nutritional information listed on the pot at all. The ingredients for this flavour are: Cream (30%), Skimmed Milk, ... more

... Sugar, Cherries, Egg Yolks, Coconut Oil, Cocoa, Cherry Puree Concentrate, Stabilisers(Guar Gum, Carrageenan), Natural Flavours, Milkfat, Emulsifier (Soya Lechithin) The product: The pot describes the product as:- "Cherry Ice Cream with Cherries (10%) and Dark Chocolate Chunks (5%)" On opening the pot this does look very tempting. It's a deep pink and you can see little bits of cherries and chunks of chocolate. There's a "wooden spoon" under a paper flap in the lid so I pull this out and dig in....more

After being impressed by the Strawberry Cheesecake yogurt yesterday I decided to try the Cherry Garcia flavour ice cream. Being a firm fan of other cherry flavoured desserts that I've tried previously I was hoping that I'd like this as well. Please note that this review is the for 150ml / 106g size pot Packaging: The ice cream comes in a paper pot which is mainly pink in colour. The pot has pictures of some cherries on the front along with some chocolate pieces. It tells us that it contains 106g / 150ml of the ice cream. The pot also contains the ingredients, contact details for "Ben & Jerry's Uk Pad" and the address ...  Read the complete review

Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia Description - ice cream A 500ml tub of this ice cream costs around £3.85 normally, but Somerfield were recently selling it for half price, which was a definite bargain. The problem is that you tend to buy more and therefore eat more when it is on offer because there is something really morish about Ben and Jerry's. I ended up buying 2 tubs instead of 1, and the Cherry Garcia flavour was one of them. I always find that with Ben and Jerry's ice cream, it is best to leave it out for a few minutes before scooping as it makes it easier to spoon out. This is no exception and if you can bear to wait, it ...  Read the complete review

Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia: Pop your Cherry Garcia cherry! (214 words)

Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia is actually a Low Fat Frozen Yoghurt and not classed as an Ice Cream. It is made with flavoured Yoghurt and contains real pieces of Bing Cherries (firm cherries that ship well and are very large) and chocolate chuncks. It is said that this flavour was a tribute to Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead (vocalist and lead guitar). If this flavour was made in your honour it would really be quite an honour indeed! It has a delicious non sickly flavour that really does taste very much of a good rich cherry chocolate (probably because of the real cherries). It has a generous amount of fruit and chocolate chunks in it and I don't think ...  Read the complete review

Cheery cherry - great with a movie (170 words)

mmmm Ben and Jerrys... where to begin!? Cheery Garcia is one of the Ben and Jerrys classic flavors, and without a doubt a firm favorite with the public thats here to stay. Like most Ben and Jerrys products it's a heavy icecream base, made from milk, cream, sugar and eggs, in this case with a cherry flavor 'filling'. It quotes as being a 'Cherry Ice cream, with Cherries and Fudge flakes'. It's quite a lot sweeter than you'd expect from a fruit flavored icecream, but in general I've found that to be true of most Ben and Jerrys flavors. The addition of the fudge flakes goes a long way towards this, but in my personal opinion this is what makes it the ...  Read the complete review

I'm a bit worried about writting this review because I really don't want to be tempted to go out and buy it. This particular ice cream really reminds me of being in spain having a cherry ice cream. So its tastey and nostalgic. It would be good to have bigger cherries with a cherry sharp taste with a creamy taste to make it more mouth watering. Ben and Jerrys are a very good brand. And now you can usually buy it from your pizza delivery service, or a local shop, supermarket. I give this 8/10. Its a tastey treat but it does have about 3/4 of a womans daily reccommended allowance I think its around 1500 calories. If your anything like me ...  Read the complete review
