A real luxurious ice cream that won't leave you disappointed.

After coming off the rails and having a complete addiction to ice cream in the last week, I decided to write a review on my current bargain that is absoultely delicious and has been a favourite of mine for a long, long time.

Firstly who are Ben and Jerry?
Something I have never known but not really wondered but anyway Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield are childhood friends that founded Ben and Jerry's Homemade Inc back in 1978.
The Ice Cream is made from Fresh Vermont milk and cream and large portion of yummie goodies such as fruit piece, fudge pieces, chocolate chunks and flavoured sauces.

From tasting the ice creams Ben and Jerrys is so obviously different the pots feel really heavy and the taste is exceptionally creamy, this is because the base of the ice cream is made from natural milk, cream, sugar and eggs.

When the lid is removed the ice cream doesn't look too appealing the colour is a coffee brown colour and here are lots of dark cookie pieces and there is also a distinctive dark brown swirl running through the ice cream.
The ice cream is filled to the brim of the 500g cardboard tub.

I always eat the ice cream with a teaspoon so I find it better to leave the ice cream out for a whort while. The ice cream is really thick and can be quite difficult to scoop out large amounts. The texture of the ice cream is just like silk in my mouth it is so smooth and the ice cream just melts in the mouth and it certainly is a "premium" ice cream.

My first spoonful and I can taste the Irish Liquer flavoured ice cream so, liking the tasteI carry on eating and as the spoonfuls contain cooki and coffee fudge pieces the flavour changes to a much sweeter less alcoholic taste.
The silky texture of the ice cream makes it more cream than ice and isn't a bad feature in my book when it comes to ice cream.

Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream is much better than many other competitors out there such as Carte D'or and Walls and there are plenty of flavours to choose from and I am sure I will get round to tasting them soon.
If you love ice cream and sweets this is a good brand to opt for and the only disadvantage is that it is not too good on the waistline.
Tubs retail at £3.79 but I got mine from farmfoods for just a £1 a real bargain.
