      Well worth buying !

I have always been a fan of traditionl B&J's ice cream and loved Cherry Garcia flavour the most. When I heard about their new frozen yogurt range I immediately thought that it wouldn't live up to my expectations, similar to when you get low fat food I assumed I was going to get a low fat taste! Oh my gosh how wrong was I !!!! I will tell you the facts but basically this is to die for and sooooo much nicer than the calorific ice cream! Price and Where to Purchase I bought x2 500ml tubs from Tesco for £5 and then stocked up on the same offer from Asda. They are usually on offer somewhere, with the cheapest offer being £1.99 a tub to an average price of £3.50 from most supermarkets. They can be found in the same place as B&J's ice cream, so make sure you pick up the frozen yogurt and not the ice cream!!! Flavour Cherry Garcia is a delicious cherry flavoured dessert with chunks of dark chocolate and big pieces of fruity cherry. The boring stuff Each 100g serving boasts only 150 calories and only 2g saturated fat. It is vegetarian too. Compare this to B&J ice cream which is usually 240 calories and 7g saturated fat. My opinion Yummy Yummy Yummy !!!!! So very more-ish! The ice cream was sooo creamy and tasty. The Cherry puree in the yogurt gave a really fruity flavour. This was offset nicely with bitter chunks of dark chocolate. Oh and the fruity chunks were just divine. It worked so very well and was not overpowering in any way. The yogurt itself tasted so much better than the ice cream, I wasn't expecting it tpo be so good. The only concern that after a few days it goes a bti hard and needs a few minutes to soften.

As with all Ben and Jerry's desserts, it's not worth the money.

I've always been a big fan of Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream, but as I'd put on a fair bit of weight since starting university, I really needed some healthier sweet treats! Thankfully, Ben and Jerry's released a new healthier version of my favourite flavour! The Cherry Garcia frozen yoghurt is only 130 calories per 100ml, with only 2g of saturated fat. The new Cherry Garcia is a lightly flavoured cherry frozen yoghurt with chunks of cherry and dark chocolate flakes. The yoghurt is quite creamy, and actually tastes better than the ice cream version of Cherry Garcia. The cherries are tangy, and add a fruity flavour to the yoghurt, and the dark chocolate compliments it perfectly. As with all Ben and Jerry's ice cream/frozen yoghurt, Cherry Garcia is quite pricey (normally around £3.50 per 500ml tub), which is really expensive. However, many supermarkets have regular offers on Ben and Jerry's ice creams, making it better value for money. I don't think it's special enough to warrant paying full price, but as a treat and when on offer, it is lovely! One problem with Ben and Jerry's products is that they all tend to freeze completely solid. It can be a total nightmare getting them out of the tub. I'm not sure if this means you're supposed to eat them out of the tub, but I'm not a fan of that and I'd quite like to be able to get it in to the bowl without having to microwave it first!

          A delicious, refreshing dessert

I am thoroughly enjoying writing reviews on all the Ben & Jerry's flavour as I get to sit in front of my computer with a tub of ice-cream and a spoon (for research purposes only!) The tub currently in front of me is Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia Frozen Yoghurt. This is not a flavour that I have tried before and I LOVE it! It is a frozen yoghurt so it has less calories (130 calories per 100ml, with a fat content of 3g, of which saturates are 2g), but it still tastes like proper ice-cream. Cheery Garcia consists of frozen cherry flavoured yoghurt with bits of cherries and chunks of dark chocolate. Delicious! The cherry yoghurt is not overpowering, in fact the flavour is very subtle and refreshing with the bits of chocolate providing a hint of bitterness. My biggest problem with Ben & Jerry's is that it freezes solidly and I have to wait for ages for the ice-cream to soften before I can scoop any out into a bowl. Cherry Gracia is also rather solid, but seems to soften slightly quicker than the other flavours. The packaging is attractive with blue being the main colour of the cardboard tub. The front has cherries and chocolate bits on a pink background. The all-important words "low fat" is on the front of the tub. A list of ingredients, nutritional information and information regarding Ben & Jerry's environmental objectives are on the back of the tub. A tub of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia costs £3,99 (which makes it one of the more expensive brands available).
