Advantages: Delicious ice cream, lovely & creamy, recyclable packaging.

Disadvantages: A little expensive (but worth it).

This ice cream was purchased solely for my fiancé, Tom, as I can be a real ice cream piggy and he usually gets the smaller share of things so I try and buy him something that I won't like myself & as I am not a big fan of any sort of nut I didn't think this would appeal to me but alas, I gave it a try & I loved it.

The ice cream is provided in a cardboard pot which is recyclable (once empty of course!) and it is made with all natural ingredients. There is chocolate & Fairtrade vanilla ice cream along with lots of macadamia nuts and these appear to be coated in chocolate or something and are quite large. The ice creams compliment each other well and have that delicious, familiar, creamy taste of Ben & Jerry's and the macadamia nuts are a really welcome addition to the ice cream. The whole thing melts very nicely when left on the side for 10 or 15 minutes without being too sloppy and the nuts are lovely and crunchy and taste far superior to any other nuts I've ever tried.

Overall I would definitely recommend this ice cream, even if, like me, you aren't a huge fan of nuts as I was suitably impressed with this and a little disappointed that I had my own pot of Phish Food (my favourite!) to enjoy. A large pot lasted Tom for a good 2 or 3 sessions of munching and he was very impressed that I had selected such a good choice for him as he usually prefers fruit based ice creams. As this is ice cream and it is made with lots of natural ingredients, and real cream, it is very high in calories but as I didn't dare look at that I really can't help, however, if you want more information feel free to check out the website at www.benandjerrys.co.uk.

I am rating the ice cream 5/5 as it was simply delicious. It is available for just under £4.00 for a 500ml pot and while this is expensive for ice cream I really see these as a luxury item and not a necessity (although I do need it quite regularly!) and therefore don't mind paying a little extra. Especially as we got our pots for 1/2 price in our local Co-Op. A great all round ice cream but avoid if you have nut allergies.

Summary: A fantastic creamy ice cream treat with lots of delightful tastes all in one pot.
