I adore ice cream - in fact I can't get enough of the stuff! I'll happily chomp my way through whatever ice cream happens to be available at the time I get my ice cream cravings! In my time I've tried many brands, from value products to expensive luxury ones but one of my absolute favourite brands is Ben and Jerry's. I've eaten quite a few of their ice creams in the past and when Ben and Jerry's happened to be on offer in my local Tesco store I was tempted in to trying this - Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Macadamia Ice Cream.

Now, Ben and Jerry's is one of the more expensive brands at around £4 for a 500ml tub but you do get what you pay for - quality ice cream with a glorious flavour! The Chocolate Macadamia variety is also fair trade so I feel like I'm doing by bit, it means I can enjoy my ice cream all the more! On the back of the tub it also states that is it fine for vegetarians to eat and also that it's made using milk from friendly dairies, it seems that happy cows make tastier ice cream!

This ice cream in particular might not be to everyone's taste but if you like your nuts you'll love this. The ice cream is swirls of vanilla and chocolate, unfortunately it's not as rich as the ice cream in other varieties such as the Phish Food or the Chocolate Brownie. The nuts in this ice cream are whole macadamias coated in chocolate, they're very nutty in flavour (obviously) and can taste a bit salty. Personally I didn't mind this at all as I happen to like things such as peanut butter but some people might be put off by the salty-ness.

Unlike Phish Food this ice cream is just ice cream and nuts, it has no added marshmallow or caramel. Being someone who thinks the richer the better I was a little disapointed by that, chocolate sauce or something would of really livened it up and made it that oh so much tastier. Ben and Jerry's usually produce gorgeous ice cream and I must say this isn't one of their best, saying that I'd still eagerly gobble it down! But then again, I am a fan of nuts. Overall a nice ice cream but it lacks the rich ice cream that Phish Food and Chocolate Brownie has.
