I reckon I'm the only person in the UK who doesn't like this Chocolate Arctic Roll that Birds Eye have brought back after years of Arctic Roll not being available.

It's basically a roll of chocolate ice cream that has been covered in chocolate sponge with a swirl of chocolate sauce going through it. I'm a big time chocolate lover so thought I'd enjoy this pudding, but I didn't at all because I thought it tasted mega cheap and isn't as chocolatey as it looks.

The ice cream is quite rich but it hasn't got a very strong chocolate flavour, it's deffo more Tesco Value than Ben And Jerrys! lol It's not very creamy when you're eating it and I think the ice cream has got a funny texture as it melts in your mouth because it seems to go sticky instead of creamy. Not majorly sticky and I don't know if many people would notice it but I definately did.

The sponge is nice but there's something about frozen sponge that doesn't appeal to me. It has got a nice cocoa flavour but it being so cold spoils it for me and I'd deffo rather have a slice of proper chocolate cake with perhaps a scoop of chocolate ice cream on the side.

This Chocolate Arctic Roll was £1.00 in Morrisons and it's worth that because it is something a bit different from what we'd usually buy. I personally am not mad keen on it but everyone else in the house loves it so it's a matter of whether your tastebuds are going to enjoy frozen sponge and not very good chocolate ice cream!

They also do one that is vanilla ice cream with plain sponge and raspberry sauce, I've had that one too and wasn't impressed so I reckon it's just me not liking this kind of thing because apparently the Arctic Roll is a national treasure.

Not for me though, give me a hot pudding or at least a better quality ice cream any day! lol
