I know that it is hardly the time of year to be eating ice cream but with the heating on full blast it is positively tropical in our house and as such with the curtains firmly drawn I'm able to prance around in my undies eating ice cream if I want to.
Now I'm a big lover of the chocolate bar by the same name so I was pleased to see that there is an ice cream version also available so I thought I would give it a try.
This is a real treat for caramel lovers as that is by far the dominant flavour with this ice cream bar. It is shaped like an elongated square of chocolate to orm a large rectangular finger shape. The whole bar is coated in deliscious cadbury milk chocolate which always works well on their ice cream bars as it is not too sweet but has a rich taste and a nice texture as it retains a certain crispness when you bite into the ice cream.
The main body of the bar is caramel ice cream and this is absolutely to die for, it has a smooth texture to it and complements the chocolate well, I always used to be quite traditional when it comes to ice cream preferring vanilla but this caramel ice cream is quite subtle in tatste and very yummy.
Finally running through the centre is a piped layer of soft caramel which is by far the dominant flavour and is rather sweet but I love caramel so it is ideal for me.
This is definately one of the better ice cream conversions from the chocolate aisle and will be one I continue to enjoy as a treat all year round or at least until the heating breaks down.
