Cadbury Light Mousse
Advantages: Low in fat, Great chocolatey taste, Filling
As everyone knows Cadbury have been making yummy chocolate bars, desserts and other sweet treats for years. They have produced many yummy chocolate bars and keep coming out with new ideas for us all to try. John Cadbury the founder of Cadbury chocolate opened his first shop back in 1824 selling tea, coffee, cocoa and drinking chocolate. In 1897 the first Cadbury Dairy Milk went on sale, made of milk powder paste, cocoa mass, cocoa butter and sugar.
From 1908 - 2008 Cadbury also introduced many new bars of chocolate such as Milk Tray, Crunchie, Flake, Fudge, Roses, Curly Wurly, Creme Egg, Boost, and many more favourite chocolate bars such as Fuse and Wispa. In 2003 Cadbury became the world's number 1 confectionary company after buying various chewing gum brands including Trident. Even today Cadbury still remains' the number one seller for chocolate bars and confectionary.
This mousse made by Cadbury is available to buy in a set of 4 pots which come in a light mauve colour and they are the light mousse, which of course is lower in fat than the normal Cadbury mousse. I bought a set of 4 pots from Sainsbury's this week for a special price of 99p, which I thought was pretty good value. These are also available at other good supermarkets including Tesco, Morrisons and Asda. These come with a foil lid which is easy to remove.
The following information is per pot which is 55g.
* Fat - 1.9g
* Protein - 7.89
* Carbohydrate - 7.8g
When you peel back the lid from the mousse you will see a lovely fluffy, chocolatey looking mousse in the pot. It smells nice and chocolatey and looks very tempting. As I put the first spoonful of the mousse into my mouth the texture is fluffy and light and the mousse has the delicious taste of Cadbury chocolate. After eating the mousse I feel very satisfied as the mousse was quite sweet and although these are lower in fat that the other standard Cadbury mousse, I think if I ate another one it could be quite sickly. This is definitely a yummy treat to keep me going for a while before I crave something sweet again.
Although these mousses are lower in fat they still taste chocolatey and are still extremely satisfying. For a special price of 99p, I think these are great value and definitely worth a try. I would definitely buy these again and I would also be very tempted to buy the full fat mousses as well just to see how yummy these are compared to the light mousse. I think this will continue to be an item on my shopping list as it stops me craving a chocolate bar which I am forever eating.
