      A gorgeous Ice-cream

I don't buy ice cream very often, but I really can't be bothered to watch the calories at the moment, so headed to Iceland to see what they had on offer. I was originally going to go with mint chocolate chip, but then spotted this Chicago Town Mississippi Mud Pie ice cream on special offer for just £1 - cheaper than Iceland's own brand - so decided to get myself a tub.

Made by Chicago Town, a company more well known for their frozen pizzas, the front of the tub tells me that this product is made exclusively for Iceland. The tub itself is black and has a very appetising picture of the ice-cream on the top.

I must admit, it was the product description on the front of the tub that really reeled me in. Described as 'Smooth chocolate ice-cream mixed with authentic American brownie pieces, rich chocolate fudge sauce with a mini marshmallow topping.' Who could resist that?

On opening the tub, the ice-cream looked just like the picture - a brown chocolate ice-cream with darker brown fudge sauce running through it, with several fluffy little marshmallows dotted across the top.

On scooping it out, it looked just as nice, and tasted even better! The chocolate ice-cream is very creamy, but the chocolate flavour not too overpowering, as can sometimes be the case.

The fudge sauce was nice and very sweet, but I didn't think it was particularly fudgey, if you know what I mean. I don't usually like marshmallows, but these ones were so tiny I could manage to eat them, and was surprised at how well they went with the flavour of the ice-cream.

One slight disappointment was the chocolate brownie pieces, or rather the lack of them. Although they tasted lovely - moist and chocolatey - I found them to be very few and far between and would have preferred there to have been more.

Calorie wise, I would love to tell you this is calorie free (calorie free ice-cream, now wouldn't that be great?!) but unfortunately, each serving contains 127 calories and 6.1g fat.

As I said, this cost £1 from Iceland, but that was special offer, so I'm not entirely confident of how much the full price was.

This was a really nice ice-cream, a lot more luxurious than your traditional vanilla. I would definitely buy it again, it's only downside is the lack of brownie pieces!
