“ Type: Yoghurts „
On my quest to discover a way to satisfy my post-dinner sweet tooth without bingeing on chocolates, Tangfastics or ice cream, I stumbled across these nice looking yoghurts in my local supermarket. It was on offer - £2 for two packs of four, so a snip at 25p per pot. As a fan of vanilla, this looked like it could be exactly what I was after!
The pot weighs in at 125g and has 0.1g of fat and only 65 calories. There are other fat-free flavours available including forest fruits and cherry.
On peeling back the lid, the yoghurt is a nice pale creamy colour, with a few small dots of vanilla here and there, making it look appetising and authentic. The sweet smell of vanilla is there, but it isn't sickly and it makes you want to dive in...
...The flavour didn't disappoint, and I really can't believe this tasty little yoghurt is as good as fat-free. The texture is rich and creamy (but not cloying) and the flavour is really good - perfectly sweet but not sickly, with a lovely taste of vanilla that in neither too subtle or overpowering. In fact, the yoghurt tasted to me like a really good quality vanilla ice cream - but with a fraction of the fat and calories. Result! There are also no artifical sweeteners so there is none of that fake sugary taste.
The added bonus with Activia products is of course that they claim to aid the digestive system. Whether this is true or not I don't know, but I do know that this is a tasty fat-free yoghurt that I will be buying again.
