      As Good as Muller Light!

While browsing in Tesco's I came across Activia Single pot yogurts. I normally but Muller Lights, but the offer on them was not very good, and the Activia pots were on buy one get one free so you got two large pots of yogurt for 68p. I bought one each of the cherry and raspberry flavoured ones to try, and I ate the cherry one first.

The Yogurt is similar in shape and size to a Muller Light, but comes in the green trade mark pot of Activa. On the lid there is a picture of juicy cherries, with the Activia logo, and that it contains Bifidas Actiregularis to help reduce digestive discomfort - i.e. to keep you regular and beat the bloat! It also states it is fat free (well virtually, anyway!)

      Nutritional info:
      Calories: 95
      Protein: 15.7g
      Carbs: 15.7g (15.2g Sugar)
      Fat: 0.2g (Trace saturates)
      Fibre: 1.5g
      Sodium: 0.17g
      Calcium: 264mg (33% of RDA)
Contains milk - not suitable for nut allergy sufferers

When you open the lid you get the sweet cherry aroma, and you can see large red chunks of real cherry pieces in a thick light pink yogurt. On tasting, this yogurt is sweet without being overly so, and has a quite creamy consistency despite being made with semi skimmed milk. It tastes a lot more luxurious than it actually is. The real chunks of cherries adds to the sweetness of the yogurt with natural sugar, and I think reduces the amount of artificial sweetner needed, so there is less of a nasty aftertaste that is common in low fat sweet foods.

I find this single pot yogurt size quite filling, as if I bought the 4 pack I would probably find myself eating two! This is a really good late evening snack for me, as once I put my little man to bed the munchies monster normally attacks me! I am following the slimming world diet at the moment, and these yogurts are syn free on the plan. I like my yogurts ice cold, and I am going to try putting one in the freezer to see if it goes like ice cream! In terms of the claims to help digestive transit, I can't say I have noticed any difference - my belly is smaller but can't really say if that is due to a yogurt or the diet. However, for a sweet treat with very little fat or calories, it is probably worth a try if you suffer in that area!

I think for 68p they are quite expensive for a single yogurt, but would definitely stock up on these when they are on offer!
