Danone Activia Yogurt Packs
Advantages: Exotic flavours, they 'beat the bloat'
Disadvantages: None identified
I gave up yoghurts a while back after suffering a migraine, which had put me off. One morning there was little else in the fridge aside from a multi-pack of danone activia yoghurts and so i thought i'd give one a go. I can honestly say that these are the tastiest yoghurts i have ever eaten. I now have two for breakfast each day. I feel calmer and have a more settled stomache. Danone is said to be scientifically proven to help improve slower digestive transit, which for lots of woman can mean helping with those occasional sluggish or bloated feelings. What makes Activia so very different is its unique probiotic culture, Bifidius ActiRegularis, more commonly know as 'good bacteria'. I can honestly say that i have found this to be very true. On the days when there may not be danone in the fridge (very rare these days as its typically stacked full of them) i really miss them - my body misses them and i can definitely tell the difference. I would never have thought that a yoghurt could even change my mood but i would go so far as to say these do! - even if it is a placebo affect, it is doing the trick!
The flavours are amazing and i love the mix of smooth yoghurt with the texture of the fruit. This pack includes strawberry, kiwi, mango and apricot. To my surprise i also loved the fig flavour found in another multi pack. It feels like a treat to start the day. Whilst i have stuck to this range as i don't feel they can be beaten, i'm aware that they also come in the following: fat free, fibre, fruit, fruit layer, intensely creamy and natural.
In terms of cost, many have commented that they find this range expensive, but for me it's worth it - for the taste as well as the health benefits. Plus, Morrisons regularly have offers on these multi-packs, i've never paid full price for them. For 8 yoghurts, (each weighing 125g) you can usually pay around £2.90. On offer however, you can get 16 for this price - making them around 18p each - bargain! I will continue to eat these yoghurts for the foreseeable future - i've certainly not been tempted away from them yet.
Summary: Definitely worth trying
