      Tasty!

We ordered these from the eismann for a few reasons. The first one was that they were one of the cheaper options from the brochure, another was that we love doughnuts and a third was that I loved the idea of warm doughnuts (I have never had a warm doughnut before!).

So when these arrived they were in a simple plastic tray covered with plastic coating. These cost £3.99 for 10 doughnuts. They are frozen so you cook them as and when you need them. We have found this to be great as so far we have only had 6 and still have 4 left! When there are two of you there isn't much point in buying fresh doughnuts as there is always so much waste so these are fantastic.

To cook these you simply pop them in the oven for 12 minutes at 150 degrees. I have found they actually need a tiny bit longer otherwise bits are still frozen so I leave them in about 15 minutes. Make sure you turn them in the middle of cooking as when I failed to do this the other day one side of my doughnut was a bit burned :(

When these are cooked they smell divine and look lovely! I would prefer a bit more sugar on them to make them look more authentic but they do look very nice, they are a golden brown in colour, a good size and look very plump and fluffy.

Biting into these doughnuts you will firstly notice how fresh they taste! The dough is springy and soft and not at all chewy. It is easy to swallow and not at all stodgy. Then onto my favourite bit - the jam! The jam is lovely, it is thick and fruity. It is a deep brown in colour and smells very fruity. There is plenty of jam and it tastes very nice when warm.

Now eismann only give nutritonal information per 100g and I'm not sure how much these doughnuts weigh. However, per 100g these contain 301 calories, 15g sugars, 18g fat, 3g saturates and 0.4g sodium. Now doughnuts aren't going to be brilliant for you but everyone deserves a treat once in a while!

As you can probably tell I love these doughnuts and more likely than not I will be ordering them again. I think they are one of the better value items from the eismann and they taste lovely!
