I LOVE Feast ice creams but thought they'd stopped making them until the ice cream man drove up the road the other day. Off topic: during the summer we hardly saw an ice cream man and started buying most of our lollies from the supermarket but now in below freezing temperatures the ice cream men of Birmingham are out in force! Barmy!
A Feast is a chocolate ice cream on a stick but it's a lot more interesting than boring chocolate ice cream because it's 3 very different layers.
On the outside you've got a crisp chocolate coating, mixed in with this are chopped nuts and that gives it a bumpy appearance as well as making it taste delish. The outside of a Feast always reminds me a bit of Ferrero Rocher because of the nutty flavour and texture.
Inside the coating is a rich delish chocolate ice cream. It's quite a soft ice cream and melts very quick so this is deffo one ice cream that you want to eat as fast as possible because if you take your time you'll end up with thick brown ice cream running down your hand! lol The ice cream is very good quality and I am always surprised by now rich and creamy it tastes.
Now for the best bit, inside the ice cream is a big slab of solid milk chocolate. The chocolate obviously isn't of the same quality as Dairy Milk and stuff like that, but still tastes wicked and once it's warmed up a bit it's quite soft and creamy to bite into.
The best way to eat a Feast I think is to nibble the coating off then lick the ice cream and finally sit and enjoy the hidden slab of chocolate. It's like a chocolate bar AND ice cream all in one! The flavours all go proper nice together and because all the layers are chocolate it will deffo fix any chocolate craving you've got.
I haven't seen Feasts in the shops but my mum said Iceland sell them in boxes of 4 normal sized or 8 mini ones. Now I know this I'll deffo go and buy some because it will work out cheaper than paying £1.25 from the ice cream man.... and anyway once the weather warms up we probably won't see an ice cream man! pmsl!
